Richard H. Tucker, Founder & CEO, formed Tucker Development (Tucker) in March 1996. Tucker focuses on the investment, development and redevelopment of mixed-use properties and shopping centers. Tucker draws on Mr. Tucker’s over 40 years of experience in the development, redevelopment, financing, leasing and management of real estate assets. Utilizing his expertise, Mr. Tucker has developed and/or acquired over ten million square feet valued in excess of $1.5 billion. Utilizing his expertise in land entitlements and public-private partnerships, Mr. Tucker has transformed multiple properties creating long-term value for both its investors and the communities in which it serves.

Tucker’s current projects are primarily mixed-use redevelopment and developments (retail and residential) in high barrier to-entry urban and established suburban markets. These developments include retail and luxury rental apartments and townhomes. Tucker has several luxury build-to-rent (BTR) townhome developments in process.

Mr. Tucker is a leader in various influential industry associations. His leadership roles include past Co-Chair of the ICSC National Open Air Committee; past Director of the ICSC Illinois State Committee; and past Chairman of the ICSC Illinois Governmental Affairs Committee. Mr. Tucker is also an active member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), serving on the Commercial & Retail Council, and serves as a frequent panelist at various national real estate conferences and other educational forums.
